>Description: Symbi-Oasis is the new vision for the Florida Air and Space Museum on FAU’s Boca Raton Campus. We orchestrate a series of habitats that interact with each other through three main layers; the context, by enhancing the existing ecosystem, both ecologically and socially; the senses, through the design of experienced stimuli; and the artifacts; influencing the overall experiential narrative.

The project immerses with the native context creating the foundation for a symbiotic relationship. It becomes an addition to the University Campus, pushing the overall engagement north, as campus life is only active on the southeastern portion of its overall plan.

The senses will dominate the treatment of transition spaces through implementation of design technologies, material choices, and spatial treatments. These treatments will be inspired by the different types of flight.
